Rethinking Mobile from the Ground Up

The latest version of ProjXs Mobile isn’t just a patch—it’s a full systems redesign.

From layout precision to interface flow, from performance under low memory conditions to full Loom AI integration, this release makes ProjXs faster, more powerful, and far more intelligent than ever before.

Let’s break down what’s new.

✦ UI/UX That Understands You

Everything was stripped down, reconsidered, and rebuilt to serve focus, speed, and clarity:

  • Header Identity: Smart header with user avatar gradients and initial placeholders; responsive and sticky.
  • Compact Cards: Tighter project cards with hover animations and deep shadows for better visual structure.
  • Dynamic Navigation: A sticky bottom nav redesigned for clarity, tactile response, and gesture flow.
  • Theme Recalibration: Neutral whites, soft greys, and improved dark mode balance across modal layers and scroll zones.
  • Rounded Geometry: Buttons and popups now flow with a unified border radius system—cohesive and modern.

✦ Autopilot: Intelligent Under-the-Hood Behavior

Autopilot now supports:

  • Real-time draft preservation
  • Smart default status assignment (e.g., Draft, Review, In Progress)
  • Behavioral tagging and cleanup suggestions
  • Context-aware feedback (e.g., reminding you when edits are unsaved or a note is incomplete)

It's lean, local, and aligned with user privacy—no server-side computation, no cloud AI dependency.

✦ Loom AI Built In, Not Bolted On

The new Loom AI assistant is fully embedded and local-token powered:

  • Llama 3.2 via OpenRouter API — users can input their key and keep all interaction private.
  • Contextual Conversations — project-specific assistance in writing, editing, and summarizing.
  • Action Sheet Access — toggle tools like Autopilot or Source Viewer from the floating sheet menu.
  • Image-Aware Prompting — send images directly with queries. Smart previews and multiple image handling built into chat.

This is not cosmetic AI—it’s deeply embedded workflow augmentation.

✦ Action Sheet + Image Uploads

A new Action Sheet modal allows instant access to:

  • Image Upload via drag/drop or file picker
  • AI Tools (Autopilot, Project Source viewer)
  • Integrated image preview slots for inline conversations or project attachments

It’s accessible via the plus icon in the chat bar—gesture-friendly and touch-first.

✦ Smarter User Onboarding

  • API key modal is now contextual, with a full in-app walkthrough.
  • Onboarding flows for project creation, success modals, and notification banners.
  • Clean fallback for users with no saved projects: "Welcome, {{ username }}" headers and motivational messages per session.

✦ System-Wide Optimizations

  • Lower memory consumption on <2GB RAM phones
  • Smaller DOM footprint with deferred rendering logic
  • Faster animations and reduced thread locks via transform over top/left
  • Improved image compression pre-render for uploads

Tested on entry-tier phones like realme C-series, Redmi Go, and budget Lenovo tabs.

Up Next: ProjXs Pro (Desktop) Reimagined

While the mobile experience is now at its cleanest and smartest, the desktop side is about to enter its own reimagination cycle.

Here’s what’s underway:

  • New Icon System: From topbar to editor to sidebar—fully reworked with material-symbol logic
  • Loom AI theme integration: Expect dark, immersive layers with assistant-first layout hints
  • Better scaling: Proportional component sizing, fullscreen support, snap layouts, and multi-tab sync
  • Workspace Anchors: Jump to a specific workspace, track open tabs, and resume exact edit state

This is not a redesign—it’s a desktop relaunch, tuned for real writers, organizers, and thinkers.

ProjXs was built for real work, not passive consumption.
This mobile upgrade is a reflection of that.
Fast, offline-capable, deeply personal—and just getting started.
